CDL Human Resource Field Service Technician – Paint Tinting Machines Jobs in Kenya;The Field Service Technician is responsible for installation, servicing, preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs of Dealer Tinting System (DTS) machines at dealer outlets and in‑house. The role ensures maximum machine uptime, efficient operation and timely resolution of technical issues in line with company standards and agreed SLAs.

Role & Responsibilities

Install, service, repair and perform preventive maintenance of DTS machines at dealer outlets and in‑house.

Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues.

Attend to DTS breakdowns within agreed SLA timelines.

Carry out calibration of DTS machines to ensure compliance with required standards.

Execute preventive maintenance as per approved schedules.

Attend to and close CRM complaints assigned by the DTS Maintenance Manager/Supervisor.

Update DTS prices, software and machine settings as required.

Maintain accurate records of service calls, maintenance activities, breakdowns and repairs.

Record service activities in CRM and complete physical visit reports for every customer visit.

Obtain customer signature and stamp on completed visit reports and submit as per company requirements.

Identify required spare parts and coordinate requisition and replacement with supervisor.

Maintain proper records of spare parts and accessories used during maintenance.

Ensure DTS machines and accessories are properly maintained and report major technical issues.

Provide technical support and guidance to dealers/customers on proper operation and basic maintenance.

Coordinate with ICT or relevant departments for technical accessories and software requirements.

Follow company safety policies and procedures during

maintenance and field activities.

Provide regular updates and reports on completed jobs, pending breakdowns and other activities.

Requirements

Academic & Professional Qualifications

Diploma/Certificate in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.

Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical and electronic systems.

Good troubleshooting and equipment maintenance skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Experience

Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in equipment or machine maintenance within the paints and coatings industry.

Experience in servicing, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of machines is an added advantage.

Additional Skills

Strong technical and problem‑solving abilities.

Customer‑focused with good interpersonal skills.

Good planning, organization and follow‑up skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet SLA timelines.

Basic computer and mobile application/CRM skills.

Willingness to travel and work at different dealer/customer locations.

Valid driving licence is an added advantage
