CDL Human Resource Field Director of - Operations, People & Client Success Jobs in Kenya;The Field Director – Kenya is the senior leader responsible for overall management, performance, culture, growth, and operational effectiveness of the organization’s Kenya operations. The role combines operations leadership, recruiting, client relationship management, HR oversight, employee development, financial oversight, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Leadership & Business Management
Provide overall leadership and direction for Kenya operations.
Execute operating plans aligned with business objectives.
Establish standards, accountability structures, and escalation procedures.
Identify operational risks, service gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
Represent Kenya operations in executive leadership discussions.
People Leadership & Culture
Lead Recruiting, Client Concierge, HR, Finance/Accounting, and Executive Support functions.
Set clear objectives and performance expectations for managers and teams.
Coach, mentor, and develop employees while promoting a collaborative culture.
Ensure performance and conduct matters are handled fairly and professionally.
Client Relationship Management
Participate in client discovery, strategy, and planning meetings.
Translate client requirements into recruitment and operational specifications.
Provide senior‑level oversight of client relationships and service activities.
Monitor client satisfaction and identify growth opportunities.
Recruitment & Candidate Management
Develop recruitment strategies and oversee sourcing, screening, and interviews.
Ensure candidates are evaluated consistently and prepared for client interviews.
Coordinate smooth transition from recruitment to placement.
Contracts, Onboarding & Placement Launch
Ensure documentation, agreements, and onboarding requirements are completed.
Conduct onboarding sessions and coordinate communication between clients and teams.
Employee Performance & Development
Establish systems for monitoring employee performance.
Coordinate coaching, training, and performance improvement initiatives.
Promote continuous professional development and effective use of technology tools.
Human
Resources & Compliance
Oversee employee records, contracts, and compliance with Kenyan labour laws.
Participate in disciplinary and workplace matters, ensuring fairness and confidentiality.
Financial & Administrative Oversight
Oversee operating expenses, payroll, and financial reporting.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.
Reporting & Business Performance
Provide regular reports on recruitment, placements, client satisfaction, employee retention, risks, and budget performance.
Office & Travel Support
Oversee Kenya office operations, facilities, and workplace security.
Conduct local travel for meetings, training, and company events.
Qualifications / Work Experience
Academic Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, HR, Operations, or related field.
Professional Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in leadership, operations management, outsourcing, staffing, recruitment, or client success.
Professional Demonstrated experience managing teams and department‑level functions.
Professional Experience working with executives, international clients, or U.S.‑based companies (advantage).
Professional Strong knowledge of recruitment, interviewing, employee management, and performance management.
Professional Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship‑management skills.
Professional Strong judgment, integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
