CDL Human Resource Dynamics 365 F&O Developer Jobs in Kenya; The Finance & Operations (F&O) Developer builds internal technical capability to support and extend the ERP platform.

The role translates business needs into technical requirements and delivers X++ customizations, extensions, reports, and integrations across Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations.

This is a hands‑on role with long‑term ownership of the F&O solution — from requirements capture through development, testing, deployment, data migration support, and ongoing optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Technical Design

  • Work with key users and consultants to capture, analyze, and document technical requirements.

  • Translate Functional Design Documents into Technical Design Documents with clear solution designs.

  • Advise on feasibility, effort, and best‑practice approaches respecting the F&O extension model.

    Development & Configuration

  • Develop customizations and extensions using X++ following the extension framework.

  • Build and modify tables, forms, data entities, workflows, and security objects.

  • Develop SSRS reports and configure Electronic Reporting (ER/GER).

  • Create and maintain batch jobs and automated processes.

    Integration & Data

  • Build and maintain integrations using OData, custom services, DMF, Logic Apps, and Azure Functions.

  • Configure Dual‑write integration with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement.

  • Support data migration activities using DMF and data packages.

    Quality, Deployment & Support

  • Manage ALM through Azure DevOps and Lifecycle Services (LCS).

  • Conduct unit testing, support SIT and UAT, and troubleshoot defects.

  • Carry out performance tuning and query optimization.

  • Provide post‑go‑live support and continuous enhancements.

  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and contribute to knowledge base.

    Requirements

    Technical Skills

  • Strong X++ development experience on Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain.

  • Solid command of extension framework, Visual Studio tools, and F&O metadata model.

  • Experience with
    DMF, SSRS reporting, and Electronic Reporting.

  • Integration experience: OData, custom services, Azure integrations, Dual‑write.

  • Lifecycle Services (LCS) and Azure DevOps pipelines with Git.

  • Strong SQL skills and performance‑tuning experience.

  • Working understanding of F&O functional areas (GL, AP, AR, Inventory, Procurement, Production).

    Qualifications & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field.

  • 3–5+ years of hands‑on Dynamics 365 F&O (or AX) development experience.

  • Microsoft certifications preferred: MB‑500 and/or MB‑300.

    Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Functional knowledge of finance and supply‑chain processes.

  • Experience with data migration on large implementations.

  • Exposure to Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric, or Azure data services.

  • Excellent documentation skills.

  • Analytical problem‑solving with attention to detail.

  • Clear communicator with non‑technical users and consultants.

  • Self‑driven, organized, and deadline‑oriented.
