CDL Human Resource Consultant – HR Consultancy & Training Jobs in Kenya; The Consultant supports and delivers CDL’s human capital consultancy assignments and training programmes to a high technical standard, within agreed timelines, and in line with client expectations.

The role covers job evaluation, compensation benchmarking, performance management, recruitment, HR audits, organisational reviews, and capacity‑building interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute assigned components of consultancy engagements, including desk reviews, data collection, job analysis, job evaluation, benchmarking, organisational structure reviews, and policy reviews.

  • Conduct client interviews, focus group discussions, and job analysis sessions with employees and stakeholders.

  • Develop assignment tools such as Excel models, evaluation matrices, benchmarking databases, and analytical templates.

  • Prepare high‑quality client deliverables including inception reports, technical reports, workshop materials, and presentations.

  • Support Team Leads in validation workshops, client presentations, stakeholder engagement sessions, and project review meetings.

  • Design and facilitate training interventions: needs assessments, curriculum development, facilitator guides, participant materials, delivery, and post‑training evaluation reports.

  • Contribute to expressions of interest, technical proposals, methodologies, work plans, and team composition inputs for business development.

  • Maintain professional client engagement and identify potential follow‑on opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with Kenyan labour and statutory requirements (Employment Act, PAYE, NSSF, SHIF, NITA, HELB).

  • Maintain strict confidentiality, professional ethics, and discretion in handling client and assignment information.

    Requirements

    Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Social Sciences, Business, Psychology, or related field.

  • Higher National Diploma in HR Management.

  • Membership with IHRM and valid practicing certificate.

  • Minimum 4 years’ progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in consultancy
    or multi‑client delivery.

  • Exposure to at least two areas: job evaluation, compensation benchmarking, performance management, HR audits, recruitment, organisation design, or training delivery.

  • Strong written communication and report‑writing skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

    Desirable Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.

  • Certification or experience in job evaluation methodologies (points‑factor, Hay, Mercer IPE).

  • Experience delivering assignments across East Africa.

  • NITA registration or Training of Trainers certification.
