CDL Human Resource Commercial & Business Development Manager – Events & Hospitality Jobs in Kenya;Lead the commercial development of a property in Kiambu County into a sustainable and profitable business. Assess the property and market, identify opportunities, develop revenue streams, build partnerships, and drive implementation of the approved business model.

Business Context

The property has potential for outdoor events, hospitality, leisure, entertainment, or other commercially viable activities. The successful candidate will assess the market and resources, then recommend and implement the most viable commercial proposition.

Key Responsibilities

Assess property, market, competition, and commercial opportunities.

Develop business model, plan, and revenue strategy.

Identify target markets, products, services, and revenue streams.

Develop pricing, revenue targets, and operating budgets.

Monitor revenue, costs, cash flow, and P&L performance.

Build strategic partnerships with corporates, event organizers, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Drive sales, marketing, customer acquisition, and new business development.

Identify required infrastructure and prioritize investments based on returns.

Develop operating systems, processes, and staffing structures.

Lead implementation of approved business model and report KPIs to the Owner/Shareholder.

Qualifications / Work Experience

Academic Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Marketing, Hospitality, Business, or related discipline.

Professional

Diploma in Insurance (ACII or AIIK) and membership of CII or IIK (advantage if insurance background).

Professional Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in events, hospitality, leisure, tourism, entertainment, venue management, experiential marketing, property activation, sales, or business development.

Professional Demonstrated experience in commercial development, revenue generation, client acquisition, partnerships, and business growth.

Professional Strong entrepreneurial, commercial, and strategic thinking skills.

Candidate Profile

An entrepreneurial business builder with hands‑on experience in assessing opportunities, developing viable propositions, building partnerships, and turning concepts into sustainable enterprises.
