CDL Human Resource Branch Team Leader - Eldoret Jobs in Kenya; The Branch Team Leader oversees and coordinates all aspects of branch operations, including showroom sales, stock and inventory control, cash management, and staff supervision.

The role ensures accurate financial reporting, effective team collaboration, and compliance with company policies and internal controls.

By driving sales performance, maintaining optimal stock levels, delivering excellent customer service, and developing the branch team through coaching and training, the Branch Team Leader plays a key role in achieving branch targets and sustaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Branch Operations & Administration

  • Supervise branch activities including sales, stock control, customer service, and staff performance.

  • Ensure smooth daily running of the showroom while upholding company standards and policies.

  • Manage staff schedules, assign duties, and monitor performance.

  • Verify documentation and ensure proper dispatch to relevant departments.

  • Review payroll sheets, verify leave records, and resolve staff queries.

  • Ensure accurate data entry and system control.

  • Housekeep files by cancelling accounts and running O/S bookings weekly.

  • Follow up on reports, distribute, review, and update checklists.

    Financial, Cash Handling & Compliance

  • Oversee cash desk operations and ensure adherence to procedures.

  • Monitor debtors weekly and enforce arrears procedures.

  • Assist in branch budget and cash flow formulation.

  • Limit unnecessary expenses including petty cash.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.

    Stock & Inventory Management

  • Oversee stock levels to ensure availability of fast‑moving items.

  • Coordinate with inventory, warehouse, and supply chain teams for replenishment and transfers.

  • Conduct stock counts and reconciliations to maintain accurate records.

  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.

  • Oversee branch security, theft prevention, and safety.

    Sales & Customer Service

  • Inspire sales team to achieve targets through customer‑focused strategies.

  • Verify product codes and POS tickets for accuracy.

  • Ensure showroom items are displayed correctly with accurate pricing.

  • Deliver excellent customer service and handle complaints tactfully.

  • Optimize use of marketing tools and promotional information.

  • Collaborate with sales team to boost sales and follow up on outstanding bookings.

  • Identify opportunities
    for new products and enhancements.

  • Monitor competitors and identify business opportunities and threats.

  • Understand market trends and customer needs.

    Staff Management & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and coach branch staff to achieve sales and operational goals.

  • Conduct performance appraisals and recommend training.

  • Design and conduct team trainings on sales, service, stock handling, and market trends.

  • Ensure effective internal communication across teams.

  • Plan and approve staff leave schedules.

  • Foster a culture of integrity, customer centricity, and team energy.

    Requirements

    Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain, or related field.

  • CPA II qualification is an added advantage.

  • 3–5 years’ experience in retail branch management or supervision; furniture or home décor industry experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of stock and inventory management.

  • Proven showroom sales management and customer engagement experience.

  • Proficiency in ERP/stock management systems and MS Office; Odoo experience desirable.
