CBM Finance Specialist; Project Budgeting Uganda Vacancies
Finance Specialist; Project Budgeting
Dates: 6 weekdays total, from 1st to 8th September 2017
Purpose
CBM UK offers a financial consultancy position to work individually with 4 local implementing NGO partners in developing their activity-based project proposal budgets.
Background
The NGOs will be working together in consortium to run a three-year Village Savings and Loans Groups project. A four-day joint NGO planning workshop will finish on 31st August just before this consultancy. Current draft NGO budgets will need considerable adaptations based on planning workshop outcomes, which will feed into one overall coherent project budget later in September.
Locations and travel
Daytrip travel in Kampala is required across 3 NGO offices located within 8 km of each other to the South and West of Komamboga, as well as working remotely by phone and email to continue coordination and complete budget development.
Outputs
A completed project proposal budget per NGO using a provided Excel template. This will include realistic, economical Ugandan unit and activity costs that are appropriately consistent across all 3 budgets.
Notes on the budgeting process that document the considerations and justifications of decisions taken within and across budgets, and alternative options available.
