Catholic Relief Services Senior Project Officer - MEAL Jobs in Uganda;Facilitate achievement of project objectives by coordinating and reporting on MEAL activities. Provide technical guidance to staff and partners, ensure accountability and learning, and strengthen CRS Uganda’s impact in serving poor and vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

MEAL Implementation

  • Organize and lead MEAL activities in line with CRS standards and donor requirements.

  • Ensure learning accompanies project activities throughout the cycle.

  • Support accountability through reflection and learning activities.

    Feedback & Complaints Mechanism

  • Lead roll‑out and implementation of Feedback, Complaints and Response Mechanism (FCRM).

  • Actively seek and respond to community feedback.

    Data Collection & Reporting

  • Support collection, validation and reporting of project data through national systems.

  • Work with government counterparts to improve data quality and use.

    Consultations & Capacity Strengthening

  • Facilitate consultations with government and stakeholders to identify MEAL system gaps.

  • Support development and implementation of capacity strengthening plans.

  • Provide mentoring to government MEAL personnel and partners.

    Coordination & Relationship Management

  • Oversee MEAL relationships with stakeholders.

  • Serve as liaison between project team and local actors.

  • Identify and respond to stakeholder information needs.

    Monitoring & Inspections

  • Supervise MEAL processes at project sites.

  • Track resource use and
    conduct budget reviews.

    Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Ensure timely documentation of MEAL activities.

  • Prepare trend analysis reports, case studies and promising practices.

    Requirements

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required • Master’s preferred.

    Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in MEAL or related field.

  • Strong understanding of child protection, family strengthening and social service systems.

  • Experience with government‑led monitoring and information systems.

    Skills & Abilities

  • Analysis and problem‑solving skills.

  • Strong relationship management with partners.

  • Proactive, results‑oriented mindset.

  • Attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and information management systems.

    Languages

  • Strong written and spoken English required.

    Travel
