Catholic Relief Services Program Manager I - RAPID Disaster Risk Reduction and Anticipatory Action Jobs in Uganda;Lead management and technical oversight of RAPID DRR/AA programming in Uganda. Ensure effective systems and processes for disaster preparedness, anticipatory action and emergency response activities. Provide technical guidance, strengthen partner capacity and deliver high‑quality programming that advances CRS’s mission of serving poor and vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

Project Management & Oversight

  • Provide management and technical oversight across project cycle.

  • Ensure design, start‑up, implementation and close‑out align with CRS standards and donor guidelines.

  • Manage team dynamics, staff well‑being and performance.

    Capacity Strengthening

  • Oversee technical assistance and training for CRS staff, partners and government counterparts.

  • Support development of frameworks, SOPs, tools and guidance at national and subnational levels.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish hazard triggers and early action frameworks.

    Learning & Knowledge Management

  • Document and disseminate lessons learned and innovations.

  • Support adaptive management and integration of evidence into program design.

    Resource Mobilisation

  • Identify funding opportunities and support proposal development.

  • Serve as technical lead/writer for DRR/AA proposals.

    Partnerships & Coordination

  • Strengthen partnerships relevant to DRR/AA.

  • Represent CRS in coordination forums, clusters and technical working groups.

  • Engage with government, donors, UN agencies and local partners.

    Financial Stewardship

  • Ensure timely project expenditures and efficient use of resources.

    Requirements

    Education

  • Bachelor’s
    degree required • Master’s preferred.

    Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in project management and DRR/AA.

  • Strong knowledge of Uganda’s coordination mechanisms and protection principles.

  • Experience in international NGO settings and with local partners.

  • Experience in grants management and proposal writing.

    Skills & Abilities

  • Strong relations management and facilitation skills.

  • Proactive, resourceful and results‑oriented.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and information management systems.
