Catalyste+ Project Officer Jobs in Kenya; Reporting to the Country Representative (CR), the Project Officer contributes to Catalyste+’s mission of strengthening economic and social well‑being in the program country. The role supports the CR, develops and maintains effective relationships with partners, stakeholders, Catalyste+ Advisors (CAs), and staff, and provides programmatic and logistical support to advance Catalyste+’s objectives in alignment with approved policies and strategic priorities.

Primary Responsibilities

Program Support

  • Participate in stakeholder consultations to support program strategies.

  • Support partnership development, assignment design, and applications to meet country targets.

  • Collaborate with Volunteer Services (VS) for timely recruitment and deployment of CAs.

  • Support CAs in carrying out work plans aligned with program objectives.

  • Collect content and support communications/marketing materials.

  • Represent Catalyste+ at meetings/events in lieu of CR.

  • Contribute to annual work plans and donor reports.

    Operational Support
  • Collaborate with VS to manage CA arrival, placement, and departure.

  • Assist with in‑country travel and logistics.

  • Arrange accommodation, food, and services for CAs.

  • Organize meetings between CAs and partners.

  • Vet and hire vendors/service providers as needed.

  • Provide orientation and monitor CA progress.

  • File and manage program documents.

  • Adhere to Catalyste+ security, conduct, and administrative policies.

  • Assist CR with accounting, budget management, and financial reports.

    Organizational Learning
  • Support gender‑based analysis in project design and learning.

  • Collect
    quality data from partners and stakeholders for MEL team.

  • Develop evidence‑based suggestions to improve long‑term results.

    Knowledge & Skill Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, International Development, or related discipline; or 3 years’ related experience.

  • Understanding of international development issues (GE/WEE, climate change, private sector, trade, governance).

  • Project management experience.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Excellent written communication and reporting skills.

  • Cultural sensitivity and diplomacy.

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
