Caritas Czech Republic Consortium Manager Jobs in Ethiopia; The Consortium Manager is CCR’s senior in‑country representative, based full‑time in Addis Ababa and co‑located with Caritas Ethiopia. The role holds day‑to‑day accountability for project implementation, ensuring activities are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with the approved logframe. The position serves as the main point of contact for in‑country stakeholders and partners, reporting to the Regional Manager (CCR HQ, Prague) and working closely with the Country Programme Coordinator and Programme Quality Advisor.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Implementation

  • Coordinate day‑to‑day implementation of project activities across all outputs.

  • Ensure quality delivery in line with work plan, budget, and logframe.

  • Serve as coordinator and primary contact point for Czech consortium partners.

  • Represent CCR within Caritas Ethiopia and with external stakeholders.

    Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government counterparts and partners.

  • Represent CCR and consortium in governance, coordination, and stakeholder meetings.

  • Organize project governance meetings (e.g., Project Steering Committee).

    Financial Oversight
  • Monitor budget utilization and flag risks to CCR HQ.

  • Draft reports and maintain communication with CCR HQ on progress and risks.

    Safeguarding & Compliance
  • Act as first point of contact for safeguarding matters (PSEA, child protection, duty of care).

  • Ensure safeguarding standards are upheld by project team and partners.

    Sustainability & Partnerships
  • Support sustainability planning and formalize partnership agreements.

  • Embed project results into partners’ institutional structures beyond project life.

    Other Duties
  • Perform tasks
    assigned by Regional Manager in line with country strategy.

    Qualifications & Competencies

    Education, Knowledge & Experience
  • University degree in agriculture, rural development, international development, project management, or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years’ professional experience managing development/humanitarian projects.

  • At least 2 years’ experience in consortium or multi‑stakeholder project management.

  • Familiarity with Ethiopian institutional and operational context required.

  • Excellent English and Amharic; knowledge of Oromoo (Oromiffa) an advantage.

  • Experience in budget monitoring, donor reporting, MEAL systems, and grant management.

  • Familiarity with Czech ODA/CzDA procedures an advantage.

  • Experience in agriculture, mechanization, or TVET sector an asset.

  • Excellent representation, negotiation, and stakeholder management.

  • Strong financial management and budget monitoring.

  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

    Other Requirements
  • Willingness to be based full‑time in Addis Ababa and travel regularly to project sites.
