Purpose Statement

To provide specialist expertise towards the effective functioning and the correct business logic of credit operations systems.

Experience

Minimum:

5 – 7 years’ experience in a financial services environment

3 years credit management experience at middle to senior Specialist level

Ideal:

7+ years’ experience in the financial services sector in a specialist capacity

Qualifications (Minimum)

Bachelor's Degree in Economic and Management Sciences or Engineering - Other

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

Honours Degree in Economic and Management Sciences or Engineering - Other

Knowledge

Minimum

In depth knowledge of credit operations

Credit risk management

General understanding of the National Credit Act and the implication for Capitec Bank’s business.

Broad understanding of the retail credit industry

Solid understanding of the bank system both front and back end (not required for recruitment)

Understanding of budgeting and accounting principles

Understanding of the overall Credit Lifecycle and its related policies

Business Analysis skills – ability to map out process and provide

value adding suggestions are regards efficiency, segregation of duties, CAVR (Completeness, Accuracy, Validity, Restricted Access) and points of control and decisioning

Understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle

Ideal:

Knowledge of Capitec Bank’s Credit Policy
