Call for Agribusiness Trainers in Kenya


Background.

The Global Agribusiness Management and Entrepreneurship (GAME) Center is a program at the United States International University Africa USIU Africa whose main aim is to undertake research and
capacity building through training and extension services for entrepreneurs in Agribusiness in Eastern
Africa.

Under Cultivate Africa (CULTIAF) program funded by the International Development Research
Center (IDRC) and the Australian Center for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR), the center
in partnership with Busara Center for Behavioural Economics and Signified Group received funding to
train, mentor and facilitate access to funding to youth entreprenuers in Kenya through action research.

The main objective of the project is to test the effectiveness of the Metro AgriFood Living Lab for
Gender Inclusive Youth Entrepreneurship Development in Kenya.

The Position.

We are looking for 15 Agribusiness trainers who meet the following requirements.

  • Minimum of a degree in business studies or related courses from an accreditted university.
  • A minimum of 2 intensive years experience in agribusiness and/or working with the youth.
  • Holders of a diploma and extensive experience working with the youth will be considered.

    Should reside in the following counties

    where the training will take place.
  • Nyandarua Njabini and Olkalau 2
  • Kisumu Ahero and Maseno 2
  • Kericho Kericho Town 1
  • Siaya Siaya Town and Bondo 2
  • Kakamega Lumakanda and Bukura 2
  • Bungoma Bungoma and Ndengelua 2
  • Nakuru Nakuru town and Molo 2

    Interested applicants should demonstrate the ability to work independently, be very proactive and
    resourceful and should be available between July 14, 2019, to August 30, 2019.
