Business Development Jobs in Kenya

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead on developing programme funding from bi-lateral, multi-lateral, international and UK-based donors, trusts and foundations as part of an exciting growth strategy.

You will be working for an international NGO; a leader in their technical thematic field who make a powerful difference to their beneficiaries.

This is an ideal opportunity for somebody with the entrepreneurial skills, capability and tenacity to drive continued funding growth within a professional organisation, but who likes to be close enough to the organisational outcomes to see that they are making a difference.

Responsibilities

  • Enjoy a comprehensive and highly competitive remuneration package
  • Assist the Chief Executive and Directors’ Group to shape Farm Africa’s overall direction and development
  • Work with an internationally recognised NGO who have the resources and professionalism to make a real and sustained difference, whilst being agile enough to take full advantage of opportunities.
  • Be given the opportunity to develop and expand an established and successful portfolio of donors, rather than spending your time involved in budgetary fire fighting.

    Qualifications

  • Have demonstrable success of making complex proposals to an array of institutional and private donors, ideally including DFID, EU, and USAID
  • Have the hands on, tactical capability to build robust and illustrative funding proposals on agriculture, natural resource management and market engagement coupled with a strategic, client facing
approach that seeks to build personal relationships with donors.
  • Have the ability to build internal relationships to ensure co-operative working whilst being challenging and thorough to ensure perfection in the organisation’s handling of donor relationships.
  • Be available for regular UK and International travel to donors, country offices and programme sites.

    How to Apply

If you are one of the best at what you do but have grown tired of the bureaucracy and red tape involved in getting it done, then please do send your CV to recruitment@farmafrica.org because this could be the perfect role for you.

More details about this role can be found in the job description and the deadline for applications is midnight on Friday 10th August 2018.

Note: Farm Africa will not accept third party applications and recruitment consultants are respectfully asked not to get in touch with regards to this role.
