Responsibilities

  • Providing strategic direction and leadership.
  • Coordinating and implementing all activities of the company in line with the policies
    approved by the Board.
  • Formulating policies on core functional areas of the board for approval.
  • Development and implementation of strategic and business plan including preparation
    of Annual Work Plan and Budgets.
  • Ensure proper management and operation of the institution on daily basis.
  • Ensure compliance with the Government Legal directives

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Commerce or a related discipline from a recognized
    institution and a member of a professional body.
  • A Master's in Business Administration will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 (ten) years' experience in a busy commercial utility environment with
    3 years being in senior management level.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities, proper
    experience in dealing with change in an organization.
  • Have a record of proper performance, self-driven, result oriented and possess excellent
    public relations and customer oriented skills.
  • Fulfill requirement of Chapter Six of the constitution of Kenya.
  • The job is on a 3 years contract.

    Busia Water and Sewerage Services Technical Manager Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Managing Director, the Technical Services Manager will be responsible
    for the maintenance of water production and distribution systems, and the waste water
    collection and treatment facilities through administrative, supervisory and technical work
    related to planning and directing daily activities of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation
    maintenance staff.
  • Coordinating all technical matters relating to corporate planning, design and
    implementation of water and sewerage services.
  • Training, motivating, coordinating, and evaluating assigned staff in order to ensure high
    service levels and correction of deficiencies
  • Analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed
    actions and implementing solutions in liaison with the Managing Director.
  • Promoting and developing sustainable and viable water supplies for both urban and rural
    schemes.
  • Planning and implementing maintenance and improvement projects and ensuring design
    and construction standards are adhered to and maintained
  • Ensuring the effective use of all personnel, equipment, and facilities.
  • Preparing and submitting reports through the Managing Director as required by statutory
    bodies and national laws and regulations
  • Implementing safety awareness programming in accordance with company policy and
    Environment and Safety guidelines.
  • Ability to raise funds
  • Performing any other duties as assigned from time to time

    Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in any of the following: Water, Irrigation or civil Engineering from a
    recognized institution
  • Post graduate qualification in a relevant field will be an added advantage
  • Training and experience in developing and implementing Water Safety Plans will be an
    added advantage
  • Minimum experience of 8 years in water and sewerage development, operation
    and
    maintenance with a minimum of 3 years related supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated management and administrative skills backed by leadership qualities
  • Ability to critically assess situations, solve problems, work effectively under stress,
    within deadlines, and in emergency situations
  • Have high integrity and fulfill chapter six requirements of the Constitution of Kenya
  • Member of a relevant professional body (e.g. the institution of Engineers of Kenya)

    Busia Water and Sewerage Finance and Administration Manager Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Formulation and implementation of sound financial and accounting policies and
    procedures.
  • Managing the annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the Managing
    Director,
  • Administering and reviewing all financial plans and budgets, monitoring progress and
    changes, and keeping senior management abreast of the company's financial status
  • Formulation and implementation of strategic measures to improve water supply and
    revenue collection and utilisation
  • Managing the company's cash flow and forecasting and ensuring that cash flow is steady
    to support operational requirements
  • Implementing a robust financial management and reporting system and ensuring that
    the contract billing and collection schedule is adhered
  • Effectively communicating and presenting the critical financial matters to the Board of
    directors through the Managing Director
  • Ensuring staff performance initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and
    procedures.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Commerce- Finance Option from a recognized institution.
  • Holder of CPA K or equivalent
  • Master's degree in any of the following: Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration,
    Finance from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
  • Registered with institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and
    registration of Accountants Board of Kenya (RAB)
  • Have 8 years' experience
  • Have high integrity and fulfill the chapter 6 requirements of the Constitution of Kenya.
  • The Job is a 3 year contract.
