Duties and Responsibilities

This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under supervision of senior officers.

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: preventive maintenance and repairs of medical/Hospital equipment, plants, Instrument and furniture’s requisitioning for spare parts and consumable taking inventory of medical/Hospital equipment, furniture’s and plants, collecting information for research ;collecting information on medical engineering services for input into the integrated Health Information Management system; carrying out minor repairs of health facilities ;and Implementing medical engineering programs and project.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have;

• Diploma in Medical Engineering or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

• Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution

• Must be a member of Association of Medical Engineering Kenya
