About the role

Burn is looking for a Cafeteria Supervisor who is responsible for maintenance/sanitation and hygiene/ensures all food served to employees is of good quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inspections of the cafeteria to determine whether proper standards of hygiene and sanitation are maintained.

Overseeing food preparation, presentation, and storage to ensure compliance with food health and safety regulations.

Coordinate daily kitchen operations and manage restaurant staff’s work schedules.

Organize and supervise shifts.

Work with kitchen inventory assistant to monitor kitchen inventory and ensure that all food supplies and other cafeteria essentials are adequately stocked in both cafeterias.

Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction.

Review product quality daily and ensure consistency for both shifts.

Respond efficiently and accurately to employee complaints regarding food.

Manage the cafeteria’s good image and suggest ways to improve it

Appraise staff’s performance and provide feedback to improve productivity

Estimate future needs for foodstuffs and kitchen utensils.

Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.

Identify measures to reduce food wastage

Create a report on weekly, monthly, and annual food expenses

Requisition and reconciliation of weekly food expenses

Other duties assigned by management.

Skills and Experience:

Hospitality Management or equivalent culinary university degree

2 years of experience in a similar capacity (Above 1000 customers) strong background in HACCP procedures and application.

Creative and attention to detail

Computer Literate
