Buildnet Sales Manager Jobs in Uganda

This role is responsible for managing the organization’s Sales department, including the hiring, training, coordination, and support of Sales personnel. They set short-term and long-term goals/objectives, develop and manage the Sales Plan, and monitor and report on Sales activities and progress.

Responsibilities;


Strategic

  • Develops and maintains productive sales organization; creates policies and procedures for departmental operations.
  • Assists in development of sales and marketing strategies with the Managing Director and provides appropriate sales programs, promotions, efforts and events including goal setting

    Financial

  • Leads the development, review and implementation of the annual sales plan and budget in line with strategic objectives of Buildnet.
  • Develops and meets annual sales quotas for regions/locations; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analyzing trends and results; establishing pricing strategies; recommending selling prices; analyzing competition, supply, and demand.

    Business Development

  • Generates new business to achieve defined sales targets and focus on growing the market share of Buildnet in line with the company’s strategic directions.
  • Analyses and monitors market trends, interprets customer requests and provide integrated product solutions to particular customer needs in line with the company’s vision. Recommends changes required to meet target customers’ expectations whilst fully in compliance with company’s objectives.
  • Develops and maintains a robust and loyal core customer base through the creation of customer loyalty programmes and maintaining high standards of customer service, in liaison with the Customer Relationship Manager, as per Buildnet policies and procedures.

    Human Resource

  • Hires and supervises inside sales personnel and field sales representatives.
  • Builds, motivates, and provides leadership to the sales team/department necessary to help the team fulfil its operational and business goals.
  • Evaluates the performance of Sales Executives and any other
    staff under the department in line with company polices and procedures.
  • Develops initial training programs for new personnel and provides ongoing training for all sales personnel and representatives.
  • Instils and sustains a vibrant corporate culture within the team that reflects company values, encourages productivity, recognizes and rewards productivity.

    Research & Development

  • Assists in conducting market surveys and customer feedback sessions so as to review the performance of existing products, provide a baseline for new product development and determine the needs and wants of the target market.

    Reporting

  • Prepares written reports of sales activities including pipeline reports, forecasts, lost accounts, actual production to quota etc.; in order to monitor, manage and improve sales performance; provides timely briefings to Managing Director as necessary or as requested.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any other related field.
  • Professional qualification in CIM is an added advantage.
  • 5 years experience in the industry/sector, with one or more years at managerial level.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to write reports and business proposals is key for the role.
