The key role of the HR & Admin Manager is to ensure that Buildnet is provided with sufficient numbers of appropriately competent and motivated staff to accomplish the strategic objectives of the organization. To provide leadership for Buildnet in the development and implementation of strategic human resource policies, organization development programmes and performance management systems.

Responsibilities;


HR Planning

  • Plan, develop and manage the implementation of the Annual HR Business Plan and Budget, set benchmarks for implementation of planned projects, evaluate the performance of the plan, taking corrective action if required.
  • Develop the annual staffing plan, ensuring that staff positions and numbers will support the cost-effective implementation of the Buildnet’s strategies and goals.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of recruitment, induction and staff-retention strategies to ensure that the Buildnet has adequate numbers of qualified and competent staff.

    Performance management and Rewards

  • Manage Performance and rewards. Ensuring that rewards management mechanisms result in staff motivation and retention of talent, balancing this with the need for cost-effectiveness to support the financial goals of the organisation.
  • Manage the performance of staff under direct supervision empowering them to deliver an efficient and effective HR service.

    Learning and Development

  • Develop and implement effective Learning and Development Programmes and Policies to ensure that staff are fully competent for their roles.
  • Review organizational
    work processes, HR policies and practises and lead organizational development initiatives and interventions in line with the Buildnet’s Strategic plan.

    Administration

  • Manage the allocation of company assets and equipment.

    Any other duties in line with the job role.

  • Participate as a member of the Tender Committee has responsibility for ensuring best value for money in procurement of products and services.

    Requirements

  • The Jobholder MUST have at least three years experience in Human Resource/ administration at a senior level.
  • A Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management, Organization and Industrial Psychology or a related filed.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • A good understanding of the Ugandan Labour laws.
  • Good presentation, writing and communication skills.
  • Planning and organization skills.
  • Good people skills.
