Job Description

  • Bruh Entertainment PLC is the distributor of CANAL+ is looking for dynamic professionals who are highly motivated to be involved in an ambitious and innovative project in Ethiopia.

  • Bruh Entertainment PLC is the distributor of CANAL+ products in Ethiopia and will play a critical role in executing the CANAL+ project to bring a new pay-tv product of 80+ television channels to Ethiopian consumers.

  • The CANAL+ Group is a pay-tv broadcaster based in France with almost 20 million subscribers in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean. CANAL+ is operating in more than 25 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and has announced its entry into Ethiopia a top strategic priority.

  • The CANAL+ offering will include a vast library of international and Amharic content developed by and for Ethiopians. With your help, Bruh Entertainment will bring this new product to Ethiopian households by building a sales network throughout the country.

  • Under the responsibility of the CFO, the finance manager is the guarantor of the application of the accounting and tax procedures and the respect of the closing dates of the accounts. He or she is in
    charge of the revision of the accounts up to the establishment of the tax package with in particular the calculation of the corporate tax. He or she works in collaboration with the External Auditor.

  • The Finance manager coordinates the various stakeholders in the preparation of the company's accounts (financial and operational parties).

    Duties

  • Manage and coach the accounting team

  • Ensure compliance with tax and statutory reporting requirements and related regulations

  • Strong emphasis on maintenance of internal control procedures

  • Oversee monthly closing process

  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of daily posting

  • Manage external audit

  • Emphasis on customer accounting

  • General accounting procedures

  • Other finance-related projects, as needed

    Job Requirements

    Experience Required

  • BA in Accounting and Finance, Economics, Business Administration and related fields

  • 5 years’ experience as a finance manager and managing a team

  • Sense of autonomy, responsibility, and integrity

  • Excellent knowledge of the Ethiopian tax regulation

  • Good knowledge of IFRS

  • High level of comfort with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)

  • English proficiency
