Browns Plantations Instrumentation Technician Jobs in Kenya;The job holder will be responsible for installing and maintaining plant electronics and instrumentation to ensure reliable functioning of machinery, plant, and equipment in factories, power stations, and other industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, calibrate, and maintain instruments/electronic equipment used in tea processing such as weighbridges, portable weighing equipment, online weighing systems, weigh feeders, and moisture analyzers.

  • Carry out installation and configuration of automation devices including VFDs, controllers, indicators, actuators, and recorders.

  • Interpret schematic drawings and implement installations as assigned.

  • Maintain hydro equipment, biogas systems, and diesel generators.

  • Maintain boiler control systems.

  • Repair domestic electronic equipment such as fridges, ovens, fryers, and TVs.

  • Undertake preventative and breakdown maintenance to reduce downtime.

  • Repair logging mechanization equipment including automated log harvesters, forwarders, splitters, and Hyundai machines.

  • Ensure compliance with company health and safety systems, policies, and procedures during all assignments.

  • Adhere to HACCP plan and plant regulations while performing duties.

  • Drive total compliance to health and safety systems, policies, and reporting procedures within the workplace.

    Requirements

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field.

  • Computer literate.

  • At least 3 years’ experience in basic electrical installation and maintenance, with knowledge of instruments and powerline maintenance.

  • Basic understanding of automation.

  • Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.

  • Must be a team player.
