Roles and responsibilities

  • Provide information for families, partners and officers (including those not yet at Post) regarding pre-Post information, employment at post, children's education, adult education, child care, training opportunities, recreational opportunities, social matters.
  • Support UK-based staff with school identification, application and invoice collection and payment according to education policy
  • Assist the CLO in being an advocate for UK based staff and families and LE staff in addressing issues of common concern with Post leadership.
  • Support UK-based staff families with domestic staff contract and compliance with Kenya local law
  • Ensure enrolment and deletion of UK-Based staff and dependents at Post into AMREF scheme
    In liaison with the clinic, ensure the hospital list is current and updated
    with key hospitals
    Deputise for the CLO in their absence
  • To be the point of contact for UK-based staff, spouses and partners, and single staff and be a source of information, referral and support where questions, problems and difficulties arise

    Essential qualifications, skills and experience
  • Good communication skills, and excellent face to face interaction
  • Organized and efficient
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role

    Desirable qualifications, skills and experience
  • Good knowledge of Nairobi
