Roles and responsibilities:

  • Manage and run the Security budget.
  • This requires having a thorough knowledge of budget forecasting and the day to day accounting associated with the running of a very substantial budget.
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of the physical security measures necessary for the safeguarding of a high profile workplace and staff accommodation.
  • Be able to carry out sensitive security investigations with accuracy and integrity.
  • Can understand, analyse and collate information from a variety of internal and external sources.
  • Produce and deliver relevant and timely security briefings for staff, visitors and families.
  • Line manage one member of staff.
  • Manage the Mission’s contact databases for staff and visitors.
  • Carry out the
    duties of the Regional Overseas Security Manager during his absences from Post Resources managed:
  • Line Management of one member of staff.
  • Management of the security budget

    Essential qualifications, skills and experience
  • Hold a suitable Security management or Business degree.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of protective security.
  • Be eligible to obtain, or currently hold, UK security clearance.
  • Have extensive IT and administrative skills.
  • Possess budget management skills.
  • Line management experience.
  • Have an excellent command of English both written and verbal.
  • Have held a Kenyan or international driving licence for at least two years
