Britam Manager, Technology Portfolio and Delivery Jobs in Kenya; Lead the delivery of Britam’s major technology programmes, including the Group ERP and HRIS implementation across operating markets. Set up governance, plan, budget, architecture and controls before design begins. Hold accountability for scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, vendor performance, adoption and benefits through go‑live, hypercare and handover. Lead in‑house software teams building integrations, extensions and self‑service journeys around core platforms, applying delivery methods suited to the work.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Leadership & Governance

Mobilise programmes before design begins, secure approval of charter, scope, governance and success measures.

Act as single client‑side accountability point, run governance forums and codify outputs into reusable Group standards.

Planning & Delivery Control

Own integrated plan across all workstreams.

Operate stage‑gated control for vendor implementation alongside iterative release cycles.

Track schedule, cost, scope, quality, risk and benefits.

In‑House Software Delivery & Engineering Standards

Lead teams building integrations, extensions, reports and self‑service journeys.

Protect configuration‑first design and enforce engineering standards.

Design, Data, Security & Go‑Live

Chair client design authority, challenge unnecessary customisation.

Own data migration and reconciliation end to end.

Set testing strategy, own cutover and hypercare, hand over to permanent support.

Vendor, Commercial & Financial Control

Manage vendors and third parties against contracts, milestones and service levels.

Control budget, forecast, contingency and total cost of ownership.

Change, Adoption, Benefits & People

Align process redesign, communications, training and adoption with technical plan.

Define benefit owners, baselines and realisation plans.

Lead cross‑functional, cross‑market teams and coach workstream leads.

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications Required

Academic Qualifications & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer

Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Technology or related field.

Master’s degree desirable.

Mandatory: PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP Practitioner, PgMP or equivalent.

Preferred: Agile certification, cloud ERP/HRIS product certification, ITIL, COBIT, CISA or CRISC.

Experience

At least 8 years in enterprise technology delivery, including 3 years leading complex programmes and 5 years in ERP/HRIS.

Personal leadership of at least two full cloud ERP implementations, one with HRIS/payroll scope in financial services.

Leadership of in‑house software teams under stage‑gated and iterative methods.

Multi‑country implementation across at least four jurisdictions with global‑template design.

Accountability for major technology investment budgets and vendor management.

Working knowledge of financial services regulation, technology risk, information security and data privacy.

Enterprise and integration architecture, data migration, software engineering practices.

Security and control design, operational readiness and cutover management.

Executive influence and cross‑cultural leadership.
