Britam Assistant Business Development Manager (Retail Business) Jobs in Kenya
Job Purpose
Drive top-line growth in retail sales through retail and corporate business channels.
Manage a team of Business Development Officers (BDOs) and drive business performance through intermediaries, branches and financial advisors.
Support customer acquisition, relationship management and revenue growth across the retail investment business.
Key Responsibilities
Drive BAM retail sales targets through various distribution channels.
Drive growth in retail customer numbers across all channels.
Conduct aggressive weekly branch and client engagements, with a minimum of three (3) branch visits and three (3) client engagements per week.
Provide regular training to the Financial Advisor (FA) network and branch teams on investment products, processes and target markets.
Develop and open new markets for the Financial Advisor network.
Maintain strong relationships with Branch Managers to support achievement of business targets.
Conduct regular channel and Business Development Officer engagements, pipeline management, tracking and conversion activities.
Drive sales pipeline conversion with a target conversion rate of 30%.
Conduct joint client pitches with Business Development Officers, Branch Managers and Financial Advisors and ensure timely closure of opportunities.
Manage client onboarding processes and maintain day-to-day client relationships.
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Organize industry events to generate business opportunities and achieve positive return on investment (ROI).
Prepare presentations for clients, meetings and business engagements.
Prepare periodic sales and business performance reports as required.
Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Commerce or a related field.
Professional qualifications in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Investment, Finance or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
Professional certifications in
Investment or Asset Management such as CISI, CFA, CPA or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant experience in Business Development, Sales, Relationship Management, Partnerships, Asset Management, Banking, Insurance or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in client acquisition, relationship management and business growth.
Proven ability to manage and convert sales leads while maintaining a healthy business pipeline.
Experience developing and managing relationships with corporates, institutions, intermediaries, strategic partners and high-value clients.
Experience supporting and implementing business development initiatives and strategic partnerships.
Experience preparing business proposals, presentations, tenders, reports and business cases.
Experience working collaboratively across multiple internal teams to deliver commercial and client-focused initiatives.
