Bridge Talent Management Principal Jobs in Kenya



Purpose of the Role

  • Serve as the lead Educator and Administrator of the institution, responsible for implementing and managing policies, regulations, and procedures.

  • Ensure students are supervised in a safe, child‑centered learning environment that follows approved curricula and directives.

  • Lead, manage, and nurture staff while communicating effectively with parents and the wider community.

  • Provide strategic direction as Secretary of the Senior Management Team (SMT).

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Leadership

  • Provide professional guidance, strategic direction, and leadership throughout the school.

  • Act as spokesperson and representative of the school.

  • Ensure academic and co‑curricular performance meets high standards.

  • Maintain discipline among staff and students.

  • Drive high standards of learning and achievement.

  • Participate in board meetings and record SMT minutes.

  • Maintain and increase student enrollment for sustainability.

  • Ensure holistic growth of students through pastoral care.

  • Perform other duties assigned by the School Administrator.

    Instructional Management

  • Plan and oversee curriculum, timetables, and school‑day organization.

  • Maintain knowledge of 8‑4‑4, CBC, and IGCSE systems.

  • Review policies for compliance with curricula requirements.

  • Oversee examination processes and safe dispatch of scripts.

  • Monitor curriculum updates and training from Cambridge International Education (CIE).

  • Interpret and implement regulatory decisions.

  • Consult SMT on planning, supervision, and evaluation of programs.

  • Teach relevant subjects as required.

  • Ensure syllabi are completed on time.

  • Administer curriculum delivery and post‑exam feedback.

  • Stay informed on local and global educational trends.

    School Climate & Morale

  • Provide instructional resources and materials.

  • Foster collaboration and team building.

  • Facilitate open communication with staff, students, parents, and community.

  • Promote high‑performance expectations and recognize excellence.

  • Resolve conflicts efficiently.

  • Maintain continuous quality standards.

  • Build a vision for school improvement.

  • Balance academics and co‑curricular activities.

  • Apply research findings to drive improvement.

  • Develop annual performance objectives and track progress.

    Personnel Management

  • Recruit qualified teachers and staff.

  • Support induction and mentoring of new staff.

  • Define performance expectations.

  • Supervise teaching and non‑teaching staff.

  • Observe teaching abilities and recommend improvements.

  • Support promotions and professional growth.

  • Recommend contract actions
    when necessary.

  • Plan and manage professional development.

  • Conduct performance appraisals twice yearly.

  • Maintain open‑door policy for staff queries.

    Fiscal, Administrative & Facilities Management

  • Comply with government policies and regulations.

  • Support budget development and maintain fiscal control.

  • Compile and report records required by board and Ministry of Education.

  • Manage facilities and supervise maintenance.

  • Ensure equipment and materials are sufficient.

  • Oversee boarding provisions and pastoral care.

    Student Management

  • Ensure student welfare and adherence to admissions policy.

  • Manage equitable discipline system.

  • Ensure rules are observed per Student Code of Conduct.

  • Discuss student issues with parents, students, and teachers.

    Professional Growth & Development

  • Develop personal professional skills.

  • Demonstrate ethical and responsible behavior.

  • Ensure teachers are trained to deliver curricula.

    School & Community Relations

  • Articulate school mission to the community.

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders.

  • Market the school to boost enrollment.

  • Serve as liaison with Education Department, sponsors, and external stakeholders.

  • Keep parents informed of developments and student progress.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Supervise and evaluate Deputy Principal(s), teachers, counsellors, librarians, aides, clerical staff, and custodial teams.

  • Track teacher and student attendance.

  • Organize and supervise all school activities to maintain elite standards.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field (Master’s in Educational Leadership/Administration is advantageous).

  • Registered with Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

  • Proven experience as Principal, Deputy Principal, or senior educational leader managing dual curricula (8‑4‑4/CBC and IGCSE/CIE).
