Summary

  • This position will provide technical and administrative support for SBC and Risk Communication to the project.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the planning, implementation, and monitoring of social and behavior change and risk communication programming;

  • Provides administrative and technical support to other units and related stakeholders;
    In collaboration with Senior Program Officer, liaise with implementing partners to ensure understanding of their activities and ways to integrate within Breakthrough ACTION COVID activities;

  • In collaboration with Senior Program Officer,
    provide technical and programmatic support to
  • Breakthrough ACTION Nigeria state offices directly implementing activities
    provide technical assistance to PEPFAR partners in states where Breakthrough ACTION Nigeria is not currently implementing activities

    Document all program learning

  • Assist with the establishment and maintenance of effective relationships with PEPFAR partners, NACA, SACA and other key stakeholders
    monitor and ensure all related activities and any challenges are documented and reported on a regular basis.

  • Provide support to planning for programmatic research processes such as desk reviews, gaps assessment as well as project activities such as the development of activity budgets and travel plans across all program areas;

  • Other duties as identified by the supervisor.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

    Minimum Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of an HND/Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Social Sciences or Health Sciences.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in any health program area

  • Previous experience of working for HIV, SBC/SBCC or health communication programs
    is an added advantage.

  • Excellent communication, and organizational skills.

  • Well-organized, with ability to track multiple activities and deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills (written & spoken) in English language and one or more Nigerian language(s) is required.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, or similar software.

  • Ability to travel within Nigeria and work successfully within a cross-cultural, multi-sectoral, multi-project team-based environment.
