    Job Description/Responsibilities:

    Major Responsibilities

    Primary Deliverables

  • Lead BRAC’s Microfinance activities in a Branch including customer acquisition, drive, assessment, disbursement, monitoring and recovery.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and drive the region towards that.
  • Meet disbursement, collection and outreach target-top line growth as well as profitability target-bottom-line.
  • Build capacity and capability
  • Coach, motivate and mentor the team. Other Responsibilities Operations
  • Monitor weekly and monthly performance of each area and branch to ensure that targets under all microfinance related program-loan disbursement, outstanding targets are being met.
  • Approve loans that are above the authorized limits for LS and SCM.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with BOM,LS & SCM.
  • Check overdue loan and try to avoid write off by ensuring recovery.
  • Ensure that best practices are shared across the region.
  • Monitor competitors’ activities and suggest new initiatives or modifications in products/processes to HO.
  • Attend monthly scheduled BFUL meetings at country office and provide inputs to HO.
  • Ensure compliance to processes/issues/concerns raised by monitoring and audit teams.
  • Coordinate and support the district BRAC Representatives in representing the organization in all public interactions and interface with external stakeholders in his geographical area of operation.

    Field Visits

  • Visits service centers every month with specific focus on non performing service centers.
  • Purpose of the visit is to check on the field activities and get inputs for strategic decisions. Follow the check list while visiting the branches
  • Ensure staff development and business performance reviews
  • Identify key issues and take corrective actions
  • Review client/member attrition, develop strategies to reduce attrition or default and guide team to reduce client dropout.
  • Counsel BMs on how to handle overdue or delinquent loans to facilitate realization.
  • Investigates reasons for targets being unmet and takes action accordingly
  • Evaluate the implementation of deposit and lending policy by the responsible Branch officers
  • Conduct meetings with employees of the branch.
  • Compare region and area performance against targets.
  • Facilitate reward and recognition measures and focus on areas of performance

    Reporting

  • Ensure daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports are sent by BOM,LS and SCM and analyze them to ascertain patterns. Take corrective actions based on findings and follow up on the same
  • Compile data from the region and send monthly reports to HO
  • Prepare and send branch visit
    reports along with monthly performance reports Human Resource
  • Handle employee grievances under his /her supervision
  • Decide on appraisals and promotions and trainings of BOM,LS and SCM.
  • Also oversee appraisals and promotions of staff in line with BMUL promotion policy
  • Liaise with HR to ensure timeliness across recruiting, training, appraisals and promotions
  • Manage transfers in consultation with HO
  • Ensure that responsibility hand over between outgoing and incoming BOM,LS and SCM is properly completed.
  • Identify weakness of staff and provide guidance
  • Build the teams capability to address current business requirements as well as the future requirements of the organization, keeping in mind individual skill levels, abilities and aspirations
  • Ensure safety and well-being of his/her direct reportees at all time.

    Finance, Accounts and Administration

  • Ensure appropriate utilization of resources and management costs
  • Monitor cash requirements/levels in the region on a weekly basis
  • Arrange for cash requirements from HO and oversee remittance of excess cash to HO once a week
  • Maintain all facilities and assets of the organization located in the region.
  • Provide logistical support to the branch offices.
  • Approve leave, salary and bill voucher of branch staff.

    Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree

    Experience Requirements:
  • At least 07+ years’ experience in Micro-finance
