Bowmans Associate – Competition Jobs in South Africa



Key Accountabilities

  • A strong command of legal and/or technical issues.

  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents at the appropriate level, including merger filings, submissions, and regulatory correspondence.

  • Preparing submissions, complaints, responses, and briefs for matters before the Competition Commission, Competition Tribunal, and Competition Appeal Court.

  • Assisting with competition law aspects of corporate transactions and conducting competition due diligences, where required.

  • Conducting accurate research in support of senior lawyers.

  • Contributing to knowledge management, legal updates, and business development within the Competition Practice.

  • Effective delegation to and management of candidate legal practitioners, where applicable.

  • Assisting with the day‑to‑day management of a busy practice, including file administration and time recording.
