Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Officer in charge of Administration, he or she will be responsible for:

Supervision of the implementation of county administrative policies and procedures on day-to-day basis.

Administering and controlling preparation of required departmental reports

Overseeing and coordinating the administration and operational functions of the department and formulate strategies to ensure the department delivers its mandate

Supervision of operations of the department and manage the staff under him/ her.

Liaising with all stakeholders and other external parties in matters pertaining the directorate

Serving as secretary to Bomet County Alcoholic Beverages Control Agency

Any other duty as may be assigned

Requirements for Appointments

Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Social Sciences or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

Master’s Degree in a relevant field

Have relevant knowledge and experience in public administration and management of not less than five (5) years at senior Management level

Attended a management course from a recognized institution

In-depth professional knowledge and experience in a specialized field or broad knowledge of a number of fields

Proven experience in handling issues dealing with Alcohol and Drug abuse will be an added advantage

Good communication skills and team player

Demonstrated professional, technical and administrative competence
