Bolt Health & Safety Specialist Jobs in Kenya; The Health & Safety Specialist owns OHS compliance across Bolt’s African markets and designated satellite countries. The role ensures legal obligations are met, audits are conducted, safety data is analyzed, and training campaigns are delivered. It contributes directly to employee safety, operational compliance, and organizational resilience.
Responsibilities
Ensure Bolt meets legal OHS obligations across African markets, including risk assessments, mandatory training, and statutory documentation.
Conduct regular audits across main and satellite markets, identify gaps, and drive corrective actions.
Set up and oversee HSE Committees where required by law.
Own the H&S data dashboard, collect and analyze quarterly performance data, and present findings to leadership.
Develop, lead, and measure global OHS training and awareness campaigns.
Support satellite market teams with compliance guidance and manage external H&S consultants.
Lead incident and crisis investigations and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Contribute to global SOP review cycles, keeping safety procedures current and consistent.
Qualifications & Competencies
Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, Risk Management, Compliance, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
Recognized professional qualification such as NEBOSH, ISO 45001 auditor certification, or equivalent.
Significant OHS experience, including hands‑on compliance work in at least one market.
Track record of running audits, managing documentation, and delivering safety training or campaigns.
Data fluency: ability to build/maintain dashboards, identify trends, and explain findings.
Confident communication in English, both written and oral.
Experience managing or coordinating with external safety consultants.
