Blue Ventures Senior Manager - Programme Evaluation Jobs in Tanzania
Role Overview
This fixed-term maternity cover position sits within Blue Ventures’ central Programme Performance team and supports the organization's monitoring, evaluation, learning and impact measurement functions.
The role helps strengthen how Blue Ventures measures, understands and communicates programme impact, ensuring evidence informs learning, strategic decision-making and donor reporting.
The position works closely with Programme Performance, Development, Data Science and regional teams across the organization.
The role focuses on monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting, data analysis, dashboard development, performance measurement and organizational learning.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL)
Strengthen organizational monitoring, evaluation and learning systems.
Support the use of reliable indicators and performance measurement frameworks across programmes.
Ensure evidence and learning are effectively integrated into programme decision-making and adaptive management processes.
Strengthen organizational capacity to measure progress and impact against the Theory of Change.
Performance Measurement and Reporting
Align strategic objectives with measurable outcomes and performance indicators.
Oversee tracking of organizational and programme-level indicators.
Support grant reporting processes and ensure alignment between donor requirements and internal performance frameworks.
Contribute to the preparation of impact reports, donor reports and organizational performance updates.
Data Analysis and Visualization
Conduct quantitative data analysis to support programme performance assessment and decision-making.
Develop, maintain and improve dashboards and data visualization tools.
Translate complex datasets into clear, accessible and actionable insights.
Support colleagues in interpreting and applying data findings.
Organisational Performance Frameworks
Support management of global performance frameworks.
Oversee tracking of Organizational Key Results (OKRs).
Strengthen consistency in performance monitoring and indicator management across regional programmes.
Ensure alignment between organizational priorities and grant-specific reporting requirements.
Learning and Knowledge Management
Develop guidance materials, learning resources and tools that support evidence-based programming.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and learning exchanges across regional and central
teams.
Promote a culture of continuous learning, collaboration and improvement.
Document and share lessons learned, best practices and performance insights.
Capacity Strengthening and Technical Support
Provide technical guidance and support to regional teams and programme staff.
Build organizational capacity in monitoring, evaluation, reporting and data use.
Coordinate technical support for performance measurement and indicator tracking.
Strengthen consistency and quality of MEL approaches across the organization.
