Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in the development and implementation of human resource plans to ensure the organisation meets its overall strategic goals
    Ensure HR practices are in line with legislation to ensure compliance.
  • Review, maintain and implement the company HR policies and procedures required by and in line with legislation, HR best practice in consultation with management to ensure efficiency
  • Support and administer recruitment (permanent, contract staff, casual, volunteers), selection, placement, induction and probation in line with company policy and procedure.
  • Ensure appropriate exit procedures e.g. terminations, retirement, resignations, and are done inline with legislation and company policy.
  • Maintain all HR records example employee records, legal documents efficiently and confidentially and ensure they are up to date
  • In charge of drafting human capital budgets in line with the company strategy for the year
    Monitor and control department expenditure to ensure spending is within budget
  • Coordinate the performance management process biannual and annually to ensure overall goals and objectives are being met
  • Coordination of training and development of staff in line with their career development and skill gaps identified for maximum output
  • Administration of the Society‘s property including apartments
    to ensure the properties are properly maintained, secured and cleaned and in good condition for renting.
  • Ensure that all administration service providers adhere to service level agreements

    Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • A higher Diploma in Human Resources Management.
  • A practicing HR Certificate from IHRM
  • At least 5 year working experience of which 2 years must be at a managerial level.
  • Excellent leadership skills, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and prepare relevant reports for management and the Board.
  • Ability to maintain professional status, high integrity and keep abreast of evolving trends and best practises in human resources through continuing professional development.
