Purpose of the Job

  • He/She will be responsible for assembling, cataloging, preserving, digitalizing, and managing valuable collections of equipment manuals, electrical drawings, layout, and P& ID.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, select, retrieve, and arrange materials.

  • Maintain and update the archival database
    Organize archival records and develop a classification system to facilitate access to archival materials

  • Create and maintain accessible & retrievable computer archives and databases, incorporating current advances in electric information storage technology

  • Determine the preservation and conservation issues, and govern best practice for resolving issues

  • Assist researchers and staff who are interested in accessing the archives

  • Facilitate acquisition, preservation, arrangement, description, access to born-digital materials

  • Research and record the origins and historical significance of archival materials

  • Establish and administer policy guidelines concerning public access and use of materials.

  • Store and preserve perishable documents

  • Answer inquiries

    Job Requirements

    Expected Education and Experience

  • Diploma or BA Degree in the social science field

  • 2+ years of work experience for Diploma and 0 years for BA holders.

    Required Skill

  • Filling and documentation

  • Excellent in Time management

  • Able to access MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook

  • Basic reading, writing, and speaking English and French is mandatory
