Job Description

  • Beza posterity development organization /BPDO/ is an indigenous, non-profit making, non-governmental humanitarian organization working on Health, Socio economic, capacity building and advocacy Programs in Amhara, Addis Ababa, Tigray and Afar regions.

  • BPDO has entered a project agreement with USAID to implement activities entitled HIV Prevention, testing and treatment in Amhara regional state.

  • BPDO wants to recruit interested applicants who fulfill the minimum requirements as an employee

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinating regular clinical system mentoring for Partners at DICs and health facilities to ensuring provision of quality integrated clinical services including family planning, STI and TB screening and HIV testing, linkage and other services.

  • Work closely with partners and stakeholders in Planning, implementing and monitoring HIV testing, linkage,recency testing, surveillance cancer and ART initiation at DIC, public and privet health facilities.

  • Monitor and follow all the required clinical and non-clinical resource required by partners and area offices and prepare request as per the sites demand.

  • Provide mentorship technical support for partners care providers on risk assessment to improve new detection of HIV positive clients from key and priority population through family-based index contact testing and social networking services

  • Organize and conduct periodic supportive supervision at all project sites with the collaboration of other area teams.

  • Establish strong communication with partners, site level coordinators and care providers and collect weekly data performance report and summit the result to program manager for decision making

  • Work closely for with partners in monitoring and implementation of routine viral load testing and working of client rotation strategies.

  • Conduct external quality assurance (EQA) activities with the collaboration of reginal public health research institutes.

  • Coordinating and participating on monthly & quarterly performance reviews, catchment area and technical working group meetings.

  • Planning, participating and coordinating
    joint integrated and program specific supportive supervisions

  • Conducting trainings to health care providers and community volunteers as required.

  • Conducted assessment of HIV/AIDS treatment service standard of care

  • Led mentorship of data clerks, quality assurance, provision of standard care and case management activity.

  • Led the mentorship of case management which reviews completeness and correctness of patient information, use and documentation of family matrix, and review referral system to community support group.

    Job Requirements

    Qualification, experiences, Essential Skills and Abilities

  • BSC Degree in nursing and Health officer but MPH is highly preferable

  • Training and certification

  • Integrated clinical services

  • HIV testing services

  • Comprehensive ART service provision

  • STI management

  • TB screening and management

  • Professional registration license

  • 5 years and above work experience for degree holders and 3 and above year experience for MPH holders.

  • Experience of working at community level HIV services and health care provision specially USAID HIV Prevention projects.

  • Experience in developing detailed implementation plans, monitoring & supervision of activities

  • Able to work independently with minimum support

  • Good computer skill with data analysis

  • Good Interpersonal communication including stage performance

  • Good Report writing skills
