Job Description

Beza posterity development organization /BPDO/ is an indigenous, non-profit making, non-governmental humanitarian organization working on sexual reproductive health, HIV AIDS and STIs prevention, care and support, improving the socio-economic wellbeing of women and girls, environmental protection, youth leadership and employment.

BPDO has entered a project agreement with USAID to implement activities entitled Community based HIV Prevention care and treatment in the selected Woredas of Amhara and Addis Abab regional states with major focus on test and treat and community ART service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan, organize and coordinate behavior change communication, economic strengthening and capacity building interventions across BPDO operation areas,

Plan and monitor quality of small group and one to one sessions which are designed to bring behavior change among KP/PP,

Design tools and strategies which promotes healthy behavior and long lasting behavior change among KP/PP,

Conduct service mapping to identify potential service providers and prepare service directory to refer clients based on their need, demand and convenient time,

Facilitate budget to cascade small group session at establishment, work place and other community settings and follow the implementation as per the SOP,

Provide on spot technical back up for frontline workers, SHGs, VSLA and CBOs to have capacity to perform high quality project results,

Conduct

internal capacity assessment of the organization and project staff and design strategies to improve identified gaps and seek options to enhance staff capacity,

Technically support SHGs and VLSA to have good understanding on the importance of saving and to engage in profitable microbusiness with collaboration of relevant stakeholders,

Conduct technical and institutional capacity assessment for CBOs and develop plan of action based on findings to enhance their capacity in HIV epidemic control and to have skill and knowledge on local resource mobilization,

In collaboration with the clinical team design better strategies to intensify HIV new case finding and ensuring linkage of HIV positives for care and treatment,

Submit high quality periodic reports regarding to BCC, ES and capacity building interventions that are performed in all regions,

Perform other duties assigned by immediate supervisor

Job Requirements

Qualification, experiences, Essential Skills and Abilities

BA/BSc or MA/MSc in sociology, management, development studies, public health and related fields

A minimum of 04 years for MA/MSc and 06 years related work experience for BA/BSc

NGO experience is preferable

Experience of working with community preferably with MARPs and PLHIV

Experience in developing detailed implementation plan of activities

Good understanding on project cycle management

Good interpersonal communication

Certificate on BCC/SBCC

Certificate on VSLA methodology/Business identification, planning, managing and financial literacy

Certificate on project cycle management
