Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel Front Office Agent Jobs in South Africa; To deliver exceptional guest service by managing check‑ins, check‑outs, reservations, and front office operations in line with luxury hospitality standards, ensuring seamless communication between guests and hotel teams.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform all check‑ins and check‑outs according to hotel policy and procedure.

  • Attend daily briefings and follow up on pending items.

  • Complete department and guest reports, dockets, and correspondence accurately.

  • Balance and bank daily takings in line with company policy.

  • Review daily arrival lists and ensure room requirements are met.

  • Identify and acknowledge VIP guests, both in‑house and arrivals.

  • Adhere to Leading Quality Assurance standards for Front Office.

  • Support smooth front desk operations as directed by management.

  • Stay updated on room rates, promotions, offers, and packages.

  • Recognize long‑stay and regular guests, ensuring preferences are retained.

  • Liaise with Housekeeping to ensure rooms are clean and fully furnished.

  • Recommend activities and restaurants when Concierge is unavailable.

  • Provide coverage across Front of House divisions as required.

  • Communicate relevant guest feedback to management.

  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and PCI policies.

  • Assist with Guest Services duties as needed.

  • Promote hotel amenities and services, staying informed about local
    activities.

  • Support Food & Beverage reservations coverage when required.

    Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree from a reputable hotel school.

  • 1–2 years’ Front Office or similar luxury hospitality experience.

  • Experience with hotel reservations software (advantageous).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and Opera.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Strong mathematical skills.
