Job DescriptionAn IT Specialist is responsible for coordinating, planning, and leading computer-related activities in an organization.
Determine the IT needs of an organization and are responsible for implementing computer systems to fulfill the organization's information systems requirements
Focus on computer networks and managing telecommunications systems and other electronic support systems related to the company operation
Lead large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and service
Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure
Help to define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes
Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs
Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT
Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of system
Implement security measures
Monitor security certificates and company compliance of requirement
Offer
technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problem
Install and update company software and hardware as needed
Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items
Meet with prospective clients to determine requirements
Engage with clients to define the scope of the project
Plan timeline and resources needed for project
Travel to client site
Responsible for network management, software development and database administration
Develop company IT policies and Procedures and Manage and control IT infrastructure of the company
Identify and resolve IT project issues
Job Requirements
BSC- degree in Computer science, Information Technology, Information Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in a similar role
Proficient in several programming languages
Experienced writing code
Expert level in Microsoft Office Applications, including Project
Familiar with a range of software and hardware
Previous technical support role
