Job Description

They would liaise with various key role players on a national and organizational level with regards to laboratory issues relevant to the Southern African environment.

Actively promote a positive professional image of BD internally and externally.

Participate in training programs for both internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure a cost-effective and competent clinical service.

Drive awareness and clinical practice excellence with key customers (hospitals and laboratories) in the preanalytical space.

Actively drive both the Medical Affairs and Business strategy for in the region.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Clinical Pathology or any other Medically or Laboratory related field.

    Professional Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum of five years clinical experience
  • Strong knowledge of phlebotomy
  • Experience in managing a Clinical Laboratory
  • Consultative knowledge and services
  • Sales experience will be beneficial
  • Extensive experience in Clinical Pathology (Chemistry, Hematology and Microbiology), as well as vast knowledge of Molecular Biology, would be a plus.
  • Experience in a quality management environment - internal and external quality auditing or policy development
  • Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) or SMLTSA registration and knowledge of South African National Accreditation Systems (SANAS) accreditation will be beneficial.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • Good computer and presentation skills
  • Ability to organize and manage programs, training, workshops.
  • Have a valid drivers’ license
  • Able to work independently and prepared for frequent travel within the region and to European BD locations.
