Job DescriptionCrop Science is a division in Bayer East Africa, a subsidiary of Bayer AG, and one of the world’s leading innovative crop science companies in the areas of crop protection, non-agricultural pest control, vector control, seeds and traits, seeks to recruit qualified and experienced individuals to fill the following position:
The promotional representative should be able to vector control business in the country through a good understanding of vector control markets environment and key.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
Integration of Bayer’s IRS products in the market in both private and public market. Drive business growth
Create a clearly defined network for the region, which can respond to public health tenders for vector control products and separately for pest control products
Ability to drive vector control business in the country through a good understanding of vector control markets environment and key players.
Ability to identify new segment of the business and expand Bayer environmental science presence in Ethiopia
Liaison with Donor Agencies at countries level to secure business on donor funded projects (NGO’s, Relief Agencies, etc.) and with Multilateral and Bilateral Agencies to maintain and ensure that BES presence is recognized at all levels when project proposals are discussed and
carried out.
Engage with malaria programs and other stakeholders in relation with Malaria
Prevention on a regular basis and share market insights with Head of Operations and ES community in SSA.
Attend Technical working group meetings
Follow up on any special projects in the field
Understand the competitor landscape and related aspects.
Activate other segments of Environmental science business (Pest management, Grain storage)
Job Requirements
Experience /Qualification
Minimum of 3 years in the Public Health Industry
Diploma in Public Health of Agronomy or Entomology
Strong negotiations skill
Clear understanding of Tender landscape.
Good knowledge of Vector control field and Public Health environment.
Good understanding of vector control products.
Business acumen and expertise on crop science industry
Good communication skills and understanding of pest management environment
Mature and self-motivated individual
Work very closely with relevant Environmental Science colleagues of the respective areas but reporting to the Head of Operations SSA Cluster or any designated Bayer ES employee.
Attend monthly management meetings submitting professionally written reports to the designated manager
