Bandari Maritime Academy Trainer - Nautical Science Jobs in Kenya; Reporting to the Senior Trainer, the Trainer is responsible for training Students under the provisions of the respective School in accordance with Standards of Training Certification and Watch keeping (STCW) 1978 as amended and other Maritime International Conventions.
The Trainer will assist in conducting practical training in vessel navigation, repairs and maintenance.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail assisting in: -

i. Designing, developing and delivering of training programmes

ii. The development of Maritime Education and Training policies

iii. Developing and reviewing curriculum

iv. Developing the school calendar and time tabling

v. The development, evaluation of teaching, learning and assessment materials

vi. Supervising trainees’ Practical sessions, Trade Projects and Business plans

vii. Marking internal examinations

viii. Maintaining students’ attendance and performance records

ix. Ensuring workshop equipment are well maintained and in working condition
