Bachelor of science in Telecommunication and Information Engineering

The Bachelor of Science degree in telecommunications and information engineering is a five-year programme that aims to provide students with sound theoretical and practical training in telecommunications and information technology.


In the first two years of the bachelor program, students are introduced to wide range of basic science and engineering topics such as chemistry, calculus, engineering drawing, circuit and network theory, mechanical engineering, etc.

In the third, fourth and fifth years, courses are more specialized and industrially oriented including optical communication, signal processing, microprocessor design, image processing, computer communication, cellular communication, digital signal processing, teletraffic engineering and engineering project.

The lectures and laboratories, including industrial training, provide the student invaluable experiences and knowledge of the design and implementation of industrial system.

The telecommunication and information engineering sector has become very high growth area.

Career opportunities are available in the following areas: Test engineers, telecom software engineers, telecommunication product managers, wireless access protocol specialists, telecommunication product manager network security and network planning.
