Bachelor of Science in mechanical Engineering

The bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering is a five-year degree programme.


It aims at giving students technical depth and developing the knowledge and skills that prepare the students for scientific research, critical analysis of scientific findings, as well as a responsible professionalism.

Graduates will thus be well adapted to the rapid changes in the globalizing world.

The first three years are dedicated to engineering fundamentals including mathematics, mechanics, science engineering drawing, computer programming, electronics, thermodynamics, material science and principles of engineering design.


In the last years students take more advanced courses including electives. The courses include production engineering, solid and structural mechanics, machine design, systems and control engineering, computer aided design and vehicle systems engineering.

There are jobs for mechanical engineers in nearly every area of industry. As a mechanical engineer you could become involved in design, manufacture, research, development, management or marketing of engineering products and services.
