In the first two years of the bachelor program, students are introduced to the basics of purchasing and supply including business communication, financial accounting, supplies and materials management, inventory management and purchasing policy and strategy.

In the third and fourth years, courses are more specialized and industrially oriented including strategic marketing management, legal aspects of procurement and supply; entail merchandise management, international purchasing, and industrial relations, logistics in purchasing and supply chain management and e-procurement.

Purchasing and supplies staffs are required in all businesses.

The first step in doing business is to spend money before any money is made. But spend too much money on goods and services and the cost eats away at profits. Spend too little the quality of goods or services can be damaged.

Both scenarios put the business in jeopardy so effective procurement is essential. Procurement is therefore a critical function in the organization and requires the best and the brightest people to join its ranks.
