  • As the Data Scientist you will be an integral part of a diverse and collaborative, agile team of world-class practitioners, including data scientists, data engineers, software developers.

  • Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how our customers interact with our core/business products

  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities

  • Inform, influence, support, and execute our product decisions and product launches.

    The Data Analytics role has work across the following four areas:

  • Data Infrastructure

  • Authoring pipelines via SQL and python based ETL framework

  • Building key data sets to empower operational and exploratory analysis

  • Automating analyses

  • Product Operations

  • Setting goals

  • Designing and evaluating experiments monitoring key product metrics, understanding root causes of changes in metrics.


    What we’re looking for

  • An advanced degree (PhD preferred) in a quantitative field like computer science, engineering or statistics related, or equivalent practical experience of developing and implementing Machine learning applications;

  • you will also be adept at managing complex operations and development projects, preferably in an analytics context.

  • Deep understanding of probability, statistics, machine learning theory and practical applications; you will be fluent with various machine learning and data mining algorithms (e.g. logistic regression, random forest, neural networks) for prediction and recommendation.

  • Programming skills in suitable software (e.g. R, Python, SAS, Clojure) with an understanding of distributed file systems, scalable data
    stores, distributed computing and related technologies (e.g. Spark, Hadoop, AWS).

  • Able to work with a wide range of stakeholders and communicate technical information clearly to specialists and non-specialists alike; you will be willing to experiment, learn and adapt in an agile context.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience doing quantitative analysis.

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics or other technical field. Advanced degrees preferred.

  • Fluency in SQL or other programming languages. Some development experience in at least one scripting language (Python, R)

  • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance

  • The ability to communicate the results of analyses in a clear and effective manner
    Basic understanding of statistical analysis.
