Ayuda en Acción is seeking experienced candidates for the position of monitoring and Evaluation specialist to support the programs and other functions in developing mechanisms, tools and indicators to implement program/project monitoring and evaluation, help the knowledge house of the organization, help to enhance organizational compliance, documenting and sharing processes, achievements, learning and reporting within the organization, to donors and program/project owners.

The programs/projects are based in long term and humanitarian development approaches working in several sectors as education, children empowerment, WASH, and resilient environment and livelihoods, humanitarian programs/projects, women and youth empowerment among others in different parts of the country.

Position Description:

The successful candidate will report to the head of programs with functional relations with other functions and provides the overall support, monitoring and evaluation of programs/projects on the basis of AeA result framework with proper indicators, tools and instruments being ultimately responsible for recording and documenting processes, achievements, learning and reporting.

Position Description:

Specific responsibilities include:

Report to the head of programs and respective functions.

Support the head of programs and other functions in developing M&E mechanisms on the bases of the result framework of AeA, monitoring the 3 years plans and annual operation plans implementation, documentation and reporting to the respective bodies.

Supports the head of programs, Field program/project managers and functions in designing new projects/programs, new indicators, tools and instruments for new program/projects.

Support head of programs and functions and partners to develop quality reports in soft and hard copies, good case stories, narratives, documenting and sharing best practices,

Provide capacity building support to staffs and partners in the areas of M&E, documentation, sharing

Supports the head of programs and functions in ensuring compliances and the management of resources (human, financial and material).

Understand and support the functions in the implementation of any system security and safety procedures and requirements to human resources management.

Protect the completeness, accuracy and integrity of programs/projects documentation during the implementation processes, achievements, learning and reporting for regular and donor fund projects.

Document and sharing the processes and accomplishment of all program/project to the Ayuda en Accion knowledge-base.

Documenting and reporting as per the AeA policies, procedures, donor regulations, and the law of the land.

Job Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Monitoring and evaluation, communications, management, statistics, business administration, and other related studies.

A minimum of 5 years proven work experience in long and short term projects/programs, humanitarian programs, projects, monitoring, Evaluation, documentation and reporting,

Demonstrated experience in project development for Fund raising from reputable institution/s preferably in the NGO sector.

Knowledge and practical application of participatory development approaches, tools, monitoring and evaluation tools and Ability to carry out complex tasks, and work independently and take initiative.

Good experiences in capacity building of staffs and partners in M&E,

Proper documentation and report writing skills with good written and spoken English.

Good communication and computer skills.

Other requirements:

Availability to travel and to move to rural areas.

Good behavior and attitude.

Offer Terms

Immediate incorporation and fulltime,

One year contract with possibility of extension and probation period indicated in the law of Ethiopia
