Axmed Commercial Legal - Summer Associate Jobs in Kenya; As a Commercial Legal Summer Associate, you’ll support the legal team with contract drafting, review, and process improvement across multiple jurisdictions. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll gain hands-on experience in commercial law within a fast-paced, mission-driven start-up focused on expanding access to medicines globally.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Contract Review & Drafting: Assist with reviewing, drafting, and organizing commercial contracts, NDAs, vendor agreements, and partnership documentation across multiple jurisdictions.

Template Development: Help improve and maintain internal contract templates and legal workflows that can scale as we grow internationally.

Cross-Functional Legal Support: Partner with commercial, operations, supply chain, and business development teams to ensure contracts reflect both legal and business priorities.

Contract Management: Support the structuring and upkeep of internal databases, version control, and filing systems for all commercial legal documentation.

Risk Awareness: Assist in identifying and flagging key legal risks within commercial agreements and recommending mitigation steps.

Stakeholder Communication: Help prepare contract summaries or guidance notes to make legal terms accessible to non-legal stakeholders.
