Avenue Healthcare Transport Co-Ordinator Jobs in Kenya;The Transport Coordinator will lead, manage, and optimize all transport services, ensuring timely, safe, and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage hospital transport operations, including emergency and ambulance services, ensuring 24/7 readiness.

  • Supervise outsourced courier services to maintain quality and efficiency.

  • Manage the dispatch desk for efficient coordination of requests, vehicle allocation, and timely service.

  • Oversee routine maintenance and servicing of all vehicles and motorbikes to ensure reliability.

  • Conduct regular training sessions on safety, patient handling, and emergency protocols.

  • Ensure departmental compliance with Avenue Healthcare procedures and protocols.

  • Develop and manage the transport department budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost‑effective solutions.

  • Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle usage, and cost trends to optimize resources.

  • Ensure all vehicles are fully equipped, stocked, and maintained to safety standards.

  • Organize renewal of road licenses and insurance before expiry.

  • Establish and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) and resolve service issues promptly.

  • Work closely with Quality and Compliance teams to maintain regulatory standards.

  • Ensure drivers complete logbooks for mileage and trips, and carry only authorized passengers.

  • Monitor fuel consumption discrepancies and investigate
    variances.

  • Report incidents such as delays, mechanical problems, or accidents immediately and take corrective action.

  • Monitor vehicle use via Fleet Tracking system, especially at night and weekends, and address misuse per procedures.

  • Maintain client and patient privacy and confidentiality.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

    Person Specification

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Paramedic Science.

  • Valid driver’s license, C1 and above.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in transport/logistics management, with at least 1 year in healthcare or high‑priority setting.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Attention to detail.
