Avenue Healthcare Resident Physician Jobs in Kenya


Avenue Healthcare Resident Physician Jobs in Kenya; Provide overall clinical leadership and governance in the clinical medicine department while delivering professional and compassionate medical care. Ensure patient review and treatment in line with Avenue Healthcare’s policies, procedures, standards, and medical practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outpatient physician clinics per hospital schedules.

  • Provide clarity on investigations, interpret results, and ensure accurate documentation.

  • Manage patient admissions, consents, updates, and conduct timely ward rounds.

  • Perform procedures and surgical interventions within licensed privileges.

  • Champion evidence‑based practice and facilitate CMEs.

  • Participate in clinical quality initiatives (morbidity/mortality meetings, IPSGs, RCAs, QIPs).

  • Ensure proper drug administration and management.

  • Support financial viability of the unit by managing costs, billing, and outreach.

  • Uphold corporate governance policies, prevent and report fraud, and implement audit recommendations.

  • Ensure compliance with Avenue Healthcare policies and government/professional standards.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


    Person Specification

  • MBChB and Master’s in Internal Medicine from recognized institutions.

  • Specialist recognition in Internal Medicine.

  • Fellowship in cardiology, endocrinology, or nephrology (desirable).

  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant working experience.

  • Customer‑focused and results‑oriented.
