Avenue Healthcare Endoscopy Nurse Jobs in Kenya; Provide safe and high‑quality endoscopy services in line with hospital policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform endoscopy procedures with endoscopists.

  • Conduct pre‑procedure assessments reviewing patient history and physical examination.

  • Formulate nursing care plans to address patient care goals and ensure excellent outcomes.

  • Coordinate planned nursing care with other healthcare team members.

  • Act as team leader during endoscopy procedures.

  • Prepare procedure room and perform pre‑procedure safety checklists.

  • Document patient care activities and outcomes per policies.

  • Ensure continuity of patient care during post‑procedure phase with effective handover.

  • Collaborate with marketing to promote endoscopy services.

  • Use equipment and departmental resources appropriately.

  • Assist central scheduling with accurate patient appointment scheduling.

  • Cover on‑call schedules as assigned.

  • Maintain and disinfect equipment per IPC procedures.

  • Identify equipment problems and notify appropriate resources for repair.

  • Ensure financial objectives are met by managing costs, accurate billing, and minimizing invoice rejections.

  • Ensure patient satisfaction through quality care, communication,
    and feedback collection.

  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

  • Provide monthly reports to line manager and senior hospital management.


    Person Specification

  • BSc Nursing or KRCHN.

  • Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.

  • Updated BLS and ACLS certification.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in endoscopy procedures (Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, ERCP, Bronchoscopy).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Customer‑focused with good interpersonal skills.
